Kitchen room
Near the entrance "Doma" is the original old Japanese style kitchen which has basic facilities for cooking. The floor of the kitchen is made of "tataki" a traditional mixture of "shikkui" and soil.
Living room
There are two tatami-mated rooms in the Arashiyama Hanare House, one wide size 3 mats, and
the other wide size 6 mats. Two to three guests can be accommodated on futons, which can be placed on the floor of either room.
